Stray Boots Comes to Las Vegas

With the popularity of its Scavenger Hunt Tour concept steadily rising, NYC based recreation startup Stray Boots is launching Vegas: The Game as its first expansion outside the Big Apple. Stray Boots has offered New York: The Game, a scavenger hunt tour that people play by text message, as a way to explore NYC since 2009. The Company chose Sin City because of the nearly 50 million tourists that visit each year and the fun, crazy atmosphere that makes Las Vegas special. Tickets, normally $20 for adults and $10 for kids, will be half price through the end of February as part of a launch promo.
Vegas: The Game is a Scavenger Hunt Tour you play using your cell phone. You receive text message challenges that take you to interesting spots around the City. As you complete each challenge you receive fun facts about Las Vegas and its history. You can start any time. You just buy tickets on the Stray Boots website, then activate your phone whenever you are ready to “play.” The Company also encourages you to play at your own pace, stopping as often as you want to explore the things that interest you along the way, be it a café or an interesting street.
The Company is opening Vegas: The Game with Center Strip and South Strip tours as well as a Kids version of the South Strip. Both tours highlight some of the Strip’s largest and most glamorous hotels and casinos. The South Strip has a focus on the fun and silly side of Las Vegas featuring attractions like the lion habitat at the MGM Grand, Coney Island Emporium at New York, New York, and hieroglyphics at Luxor. The Center Strip shows you the glitzier part of town, taking hunters from the Bellagio and Paris up to the Venetian, with stops at Caesar’s Palace & Forum Shops, The Mirage, and the Flamingo. The Company is also planning to add a Downtown Las Vegas Game Zone featuring the older casinos, and large group options where hunters can make playing more of a competition.
