Meet the Stray Boots Squad

We like to keep things simple, just like our tours. That's why we have a small, dynamic team of talented, quirky people. If you want to be a part of things, check out our job openings, and tell us why you'd make a great addition to the squad.

Avi Millman - Co-Founder, CEO
Since his "Eureka" moment in 2008 while touring Rome with his family, Avi has led the company as its chief visionary and tour creator. Avi complements his diverse business experience (organic tonic water startup, supply chain management, Caribbean ad sales), with a Princeton history degree, passion for urban travel, and expert level of nerdiness.

Scott Knackmuhs - Co-Founder, Operations
If the customer is king, then Scott presided over his coronation. Since helping to conceptualize and launch Stray Boots's first tours in 2009, Scott's mission has been to make the customer experience as good as it can be from gameplay to phone support. Before his boots began to stray, Scott was a supply chain analyst at national retailer Steve & Barry's, and a UPenn frisbee star moonlighting as a history major.

Noemi Millman - Co-Founder, Technology
The woman behind Stray Boots' technology, Noemi left her own web development firm Triopter LLC to build the company's proprietary software platform and website from scratch. She brings to Stray Boots nine years of development experience, in the for profit and non, a Princeton BA, and a proclivity for doodling horses during office meetings.

Jason Wong - Backend Development
Jason started off as a technology consultant in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Stray Boots, he spent some time working with large scale data in retail analytics. Jason has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, tries very hard to play the guitar and wins at foosball.

Byron Hulcher - Backend Development

Before joining as a developer at Stray Boots, Byron received a dual degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institue and moved to Brooklyn, where he lives with his fiance. Now, Byron hopes to implement cat tours into Stray Boots so that his two kittens can become more well-versed in the world they are growing up in.

Rob Haydt - Mobile Application Development
As Lead Mobile Application Wrangler, Rob is focused primarily on iPhone with some Android (his mobile development predates them). He has extensive experience in product engineering, intellectual property, and state based machine design. As a technology refugee from Seattle and Boston, his background includes kernel development, distributed systems and real-time development. Rob has a Masters in Computer Science/Mathematics with a focus on Parallel Processing, Neural Networks and AI.

Leslie Bargmann - Project Manager
Leslie dabbles in all aspects of Stray Boots. While she made her way onto the team through Group Sales, she now spends her time as Coordination Queen between various departments. Prior to Stray Boots, Leslie attended Princeton where she majored in swimming and studied history on the side.

Jenn Rogers - Group Sales
From bachelorette parties to corporate scavenger hunts, Jenn helps customers put together great events. Before joining the Stray Boots team she recruited technical talent for high-growth NYC startups and put her Russian degree to use grocery shopping in Brighton Beach. Proudly, Jenn has never met a pun she didn't like.

Maggie Nugent - Tour Development
As editor of content, Maggie helps create and lovingly care for the all the Stray Boots games, and spends her days agonizing over puns and pieces of trivia. Before joining Stray Boots, Maggie attended the University of New Hampshire and was the head taste-tester at her family's apple farm.

Michael Murphy - Tour Development
Michael recently bailed on Midwestern life after graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Islamic Studies. Prior to Stray Boots, Michael won second place in a paper airplane-flying contest, was a member of the juggling club, and got an A in ice skating. Now Brooklyn-based, Michael produces content for Stray Boots.

Ranny Ma - Operations and Marketing
Ranny is the Stray Boots jack-of-all-trades. If he's not dispensing customer service magic to ensure an awesome experience for all, Ranny's acting as the the Stray Boots marketing and operations wizard. Prior to joining Stray Boots, Ranny graduated from NYU Stern with a degree in Finance and bro-ing out.

Marshal Gaddis - Finance and Operations
Marshal makes sure the T's are crossed and I's dotted at Stray Boots. Using ninja-level number crunching skills, he ensures the team has accurate views of the past and intelligent expectations for the future. Marshal graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Finance and Plan II Liberal Arts, is the only person in the world indifferent toward cats, and communicates primarily in mixed metaphor and cryptic simile.
